Our Score
This slick, superficial drama - the first feature of Newcastle-upon-Tyne-born director Paul Anderson - doesn't quite reach the heights of the Hollywood blockbusters to which it aspires, but is a riveting ride, nevertheless. Jude Law plays the adrenaline freak who, along with Sadie Frost, gets his kicks by joyriding and ram raiding. However, his nihilistic lifestyle is threatened by the forces of law and order and rival rider Sean Pertwee, who views Law's hobby as a profession. The two leads are unconvincing, but Pertwee excels as a villain and there is a solid turn from Jonathan Pryce as a sympathetic policeman. Look out for cameos from Sean Bean and Marianne Faithfull.

A disaffected youth is released from prison and immediately embarks on a rampage of ram-raiding, stealing cars to enable him and his cohorts to relieve a host of businesses of their goods. However, their antics turn sour when a local crimelord gets wind of their activities and decides to teach them a lesson. Drama, starring Sean Pertwee, Sadie Frost, Jude Law, Sean Bean and Marianne Faithfull.
