Review

Our Score
This film reunited Peter Sellers with the Boulting Brothers who had been responsible for one of his greatest screen triumphs, I'm All Right Jack. Alas Soft Beds, Hard Battles - an X-rated World War Two romp - was not in the same class. Sellers plays multiple roles (including Adolf Hitler) in a story of murder and duplicity set around a Parisian brothel in 1940. The production was reportedly dogged with problems and the cracks are all too evident in the finished film. Still, there are some flashes of the Sellers talent, but oh, so few.

Summary

The German Army closes down all the brothels in Paris - except one frequented by the Gestapo and British Intelligence. Second World War comedy, with Peter Sellers and Curt Jurgens.
