With his usual suave and sinister panache, Vincent Price plays a 19th-century inventor who plans to destroy all of mankind's weapons from a flying airship in this uneven adaptation of two Jules Verne novels. Spiced up with stock battle footage taken from other costume epics (the reason why the Globe theatre suddenly appears in Victorian London), it's a cheap and cheerful fantasy that comes across as a highly moralistic anti-war fable. Charles Bronson (reunited with Price for the first time since House of Wax) plays the government agent who discovers the inventor's Pennsylvania lair and tries to thwart his schemes.

A Victorian hot air balloon expedition is captured by the captain of a hi-tech airship who intends to use his craft to bring about world peace by destroying military installations across the world. Sci-fi adventure based on Jules Verne's novels, starring Vincent Price and Charles Bronson, with Henry Hull and Mary Webster.
