Review

Our Score
This knockabout action comedy features Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) as Nick, a slacker pizza delivery boy kidnapped by small-time hoodlums Dwayne (Danny McBride) and Travis (Nick Swardson), who then force him to rob a bank - with an explosive vest strapped to his torso. Nick has just a few hours to complete his task, so, with the help of his equally aimless buddy Chet (Scrubs's Aziz Ansari), sets out to secure himself a getaway car, ski masks and toy guns. The bungling criminals scenario has been done better many times before, although director Ruben Fleischer makes his protagonists fairly likeable, if a little annoying at times. McBride, never veering far from the redneck character of his TV series Eastbound & Down, has all the best lines, which adds some inventive and near-the-knuckle wit to what would have otherwise been a bog-standard succession of slapstick set pieces.

Summary

A small-time crook hopes to fund a business venture by having his father killed and claiming an inheritance, but finds hiring a hitman is too expensive. He and his sidekick resort to kidnapping a pizza delivery boy, attaching a bomb to him and sending him off to rob a bank on their behalf. However, the scheme does not go to plan. Comedy adventure, with Jesse Eisenberg and Danny McBride.
