Our Score
The iconic TV series was hardly great art, but at least it had a down-to-earth, easy-going charm that's absent in director Jay Chandrasekhar's lame-brained, big-screen retread. In between relentless car chases, smash-ups, explosions and smutty vulgarity, it's actually Burt Reynolds who carries what passes for the plot. He plays nefarious town commissioner Boss Hogg, who uses a celebrity auto race as a decoy for his plan to strip-mine Hazzard County and steal the farm where Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson) and good ole boys Luke (Johnny Knoxville) and Bo (Seann William Scott) run their moonshine business. Meanwhile, in a thankless screen debut that does nobody any favours, Jessica Simpson pouts woodenly as their scantily clad cousin, Daisy. It may have high profile stars and a large budget, but this outdated hillbilly dud couldn't be more lowbrow and moronic.

Deep South rogues Bo and Luke Duke wheel out their iconic Dodge Charger to stop a corrupt commissioner and the local sheriff from closing down the family farm. With the help of their cousin Daisy and Uncle Jesse, the pair set about foiling the dastardly scheme, only to uncover a larger plot is placing the entire town in jeopardy. Comedy adaptation of the TV series, starring Seann William Scott, Johnny Knoxville, Willie Nelson, Jessica Simpson and Burt Reynolds.
