Our Score
Having starred with Peter Sellers and Spike Milligan on Down among the Dead Men the previous year, Harry Secombe and Michael Bentine re-team for this dismally unfunny uniform debacle. Hy Hazell is the object of everyone's attention, although what she sees in the bumbling Bentine, Secombe and John Ainsworth is anyone's guess. Veteran comic Freddie Frinton has the few good lines there are, but the line commanding the most attention are the choruses in Leslie Roberts's Television Girls, whose daring routines now seem wincingly tame. Directed with his customary lack of brio by journeyman Maclean Rogers.

A singer performs for an audience of soldiers, leading to three of the squaddies falling in love and competing for her attention. Comedy, starring Hy Hazell and Harry Secombe.
