Review

Our Score
This rather dark western was horror producer Val Lewton's last film. Stephen McNally is excellent as the ne'er-do-well who helps defend a community from an Apache attack and Coleen Gray (The Killing) also acquits herself well. Argentinian director Hugo Fregonese proves a dab hand at action and isn't daunted by the movie's obviously low budget. The short running time helps keep everything tense, too.

Summary

A gunslinging gambler is thrown out of an isolated frontier town for his improper behaviour. He returns to warn the unsuspecting settlers of an impending attack by a band of Apaches fighting to regain possession of their lost territory - but struggles to convince them of the danger. Western, starring Stephen McNally, Willard Parker, Coleen Gray and Arthur Shields.
