Our Score
Some horror movies are terrible but great fun, others are simply terrible. This lazy, braindead B-movie certainly falls into the latter category, with a story about a pack of genetically modified killer dogs pursuing college students across a deserted island. Lead actress Michelle Rodriguez (Resident Evil, Avatar) phones in her performance as the film's heroine, trying to save her co-stars from being chased, bitten and occasionally killed by the "scary-assed Lassies" (actually German shepherds). Full of careless idiocy, it really is a dog of a movie; director Nick Mastandrea makes every mistake possible, with "canine cam" point-of-view shots proving laughably silly, a screenplay that leaves several major plot points unresolved and a cast of obnoxious humans out-acted by their furry co-stars.

A veterinary student inherits a house on a remote island, and invites his friends to spend the week there. They are all unaware that the island was once the site of a mysterious research laboratory performing sinister experiments to turn dogs into killing machines - but soon they find themselves besieged by a pack of canine mutants. Horror, starring Michelle Rodriguez and Oliver Hudson.
