Our Score
This undistinguished Warner Bros western pairs rugged Randolph Scott with suave Raymond Massey as his nemesis, a combination that worked to better effect a year later in the same studio's Carson City. It is better remembered today as one of the first western TV series based on a feature film. This is very average, and really only for fans of the implacable Scott, though the super 1950s Technicolor gives it a certain class and Adele Jergens is a standout singing a nifty Sammy Cahn number.

A former Confederate officer moves to Arizona hoping to start afresh. He is unable to put the past behind him when he finds his new home town lorded over by a couple of old enemies who have been harbouring a grudge against him since the Civil War. Western, starring Randolph Scott, Adele Jergens, Raymond Massey and SZ Sakall.
