Review

Our Score
This sequel to My Friend Irma (1949) has dumb blonde Irma (Marie Wilson) heading for California with her friends to try their luck in movies. It is marginally superior to its predecessor, due mainly to the extra time given to the comedy team of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, who had received an enthusiastic response from audiences with their debut in the earlier film. Martin is given French actress Corinne Calvet as love interest, while Lewis has some classic comic moments, including some inventive business with a plate of spaghetti and a scene where he imitates a chimpanzee.
