Our Score
Only Bing Crosby was missing from this wartime flag-waver that might otherwise have been called "The Road to Victory". Bob Hope zings his way through a generous ration of wisecracks, as he and Dorothy Lamour root out Otto Preminger and his fellow Nazis. Screenwriter Harry Kurnitz, who was something of a dab hand at both comedies and thrillers, adeptly judges the mix of suspense and silliness, leaving director David Butler with little to do but keep up the tempo and show off Sam Goldwyn's typically lavish sets. Eduardo Ciannelli and Donald Meek are the pick of the supporting cast.

A bungling newspaper reporter gets mixed up with a foreign spy ring. Wartime comedy, starring Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour.
