Review

Our Score
This utterly charming quasi-western is distinguished by one of Robert Mitchum's most likeable, deceptively throwaway roles, as the itinerant tracker who momentarily comes between husband and wife William Holden and Loretta Young. Mitchum's vocal talents are given full rein here; indeed, he had a hit record of sorts in the duet he performs with youngster Gary Gray, Just Like Me. Sadly, its fame, as so often happens, outlived the film from which it came.

Summary

A widowed pioneer acquires a servant, and proposes a marriage of convenience purely so that his son can have a mother. However, the disregard he has for her starts to fade when a friend comes to visit and arouses his jealousy by taking a liking to her. Western, starring Loretta Young, William Holden and Robert Mitchum.
