Review

Our Score
Tod Slaughter was billed as "the Horror Man of Europe" for his forays into early chiller territory with titles like Murder in the Red Barn and Crimes at the Dark House. As the legendary throat-slitting barber, the aptly named Slaughter turns in what every genre historian agrees is a quintessential performance. He's at his highly theatrical, villainous best in this dainty slice of British horror and, if you can ignore the creaks, this film is melodramatic fun.

Summary

A London barber murders his clients so he can steal their belongings, while the baker who lives next door helps him dispose of the bodies by making them into meat pies. When the killer plans to marry an aristocrat's daughter for the family fortune, it stirs up conflict with his jealous accomplice. Horror, starring Tod Slaughter and Stella Rho.
