Our Score
This sequel to the hit animated ghoul-fest re-joins Count Dracula (Adam Sandler) as he desperately tries to prove his new, half-human grandson is a vampire at heart. Aside from a vague message about parenthood, the film is an excuse for some more impressive animation and a whole lot of slapstick. The story moves at breakneck speed, and it doesn't particularly matter where "Drac" and his buddies are going, as long as it's funny. The gags come so thick and fast it's inevitable that some of them hit the mark - Dracula's "alternative" lullaby and a very slow getaway prove to be dumb but delightful highlights. Meanwhile the assembled voice cast (mostly Sandler regulars such as Steve Buscemi and Kevin James) have a rapport that glosses over the paper-thin plot. It may lack any real reason to be made, but this sequel has enough about it to raise a few laughs and make the return worthwhile, if not memorable.

Dracula is worried that his half-human grandson is not showing any vampiric tendencies, so enlists the help of his fellow monsters in showing the youngster how it is done. The count is shocked to receive an unwelcome visit from his own father, who does not approve of his son's tolerance of humans. Animated comedy, with the voices of Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg.
