Vernon Sewell (1961)

Our Score
A low-budget thriller with all the mystery and tension of a shelved Thunderbirds episode. Two petty crooks discover their consciences after their accomplice dies in a hit-and-run accident, and they decide to break back into the bank they have just robbed to prevent the manager and his secretary from suffocating in the safe. If the anxious expressions and banal utterances of the villains aren't bad enough, there are the glutinous exchanges between the stuffy boss and his assistant as they find love in adversity. Director Vernon Sewell sets up this improbable story quite neatly, but it's hardly breathless entertainment.

Two people are locked in a bank vault during a robbery, but the crooks have a crisis of conscience and try to free them while avoiding the police. Crime drama, with Colin Gordon.
