Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

This sequel to the hit animated ghoul-fest rejoins Count Dracula (Adam Sandler) as he desperately tries to prove his new, half-human grandson is a vampire at heart. Aside from a vague message about parenthood, the film is an excuse for some more impressive animation and a whole lot of slapstick. The gags come so thick and fast it's inevitable that some of them hit the mark, and Dracula's "alternative" lullaby and a very slow getaway prove to be dumb but delightful highlights. Meanwhile, the voice cast (including regular Sandler cohorts Steve Buscemi and Kevin James) have a rapport that helps gloss over the paper-thin plot.
