Our Score
In making what is considered to be a classic of Indian cinema, director Ramesh Sippy combined elements of Bollywood music, comedy and romance with the spaghetti western genre, creating a technically lauded, as well as massively popular, adventure movie. Told as a couple of extended flashbacks which lead to an all-action finale, the story concerns the rivalry between Amjad Khan's fabled bandit and Sanjeev Kumar, a courageous former policeman, who hires adventurers Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra to avenge his murdered family. The performances are impressive, especially that of Khan, who steals every scene he is in from his more famous co-stars.
