Having come into a fortune but quarrelled with her fiancé, an attractive young woman (Ann Harding) is swept off her feet into marriage by a man (Basil Rathbone) she barely knows. They settle in luxury in Europe, only for her to be warned that he murders wealthy women. Directed by Rowland V Lee, this is a neat, smooth suspense drama, based on a novel by Agatha Christie and the play by Frank Vosper. The stars give polished performances, with support from a stalwart British cast that includes Binnie Hale and Joan Hickson.


A lottery winner breaks up with her fiancé and marries a fortune hunter, who proves to be a dangerous proposition. Drama, starring Ann Harding, Basil Rathbone and Binnie Hale.
