Our Score
Bela Lugosi's second outing with the East Side Kids was something of a comedown from his first - the more than mediocre Spooks Run Wild. Ignore the title, as there isn't a single ghoul occupying that old deserted house. But there are plenty of fifth columnists, operating under the fanatical eye of spymaster Lugosi. Mugging in their usual unsubtle way, Huntz Hall and Leo Gorcey are torn between nabbing the Nazis and getting Hall's sister (played by Ava Gardner, on loan to Monogram from MGM) to the church on time. Lugosi looks thoroughly unimpressed with both the plot and his co-stars.

A group of friends fixes up a house for a newlywed couple, but stumble on a plot to fake a haunting by a band of spies. Comedy, starring Bela Lugosi and Ava Gardner.
