Based on the video game of the same name, this brash and workmanlike animated spin-off sees wily super-mechanic Ratchet and robot buddy Clank joining the heroic Galactic Rangers to tackle planet-destroying baddie Drek. The plot references everything from Stars Wars to Guardians of the Galaxy, though with neither the charm nor quality of those iconic influences. Snappy dialogue, fast pacing and some big-name voice talent (Sylvester Stallone, John Goodman, Rosario Dawson) keep things lively, but essentially, this is a video game you can't play.
