Review

Our Score
Written and directed by Jeffrey Dell, this haunted-house comedy is a triumph of eccentricity over substance. It was made during wartime, but only the British could find propaganda value in a film in which the aristocracy triumphs over the beastly nouveaux riches thanks to an alliance between a ghost and a lawyer. Although Richard Greene and Patricia Medina are the leads, it's the supporting cast that takes the acting honours, with Alfred Drayton eminently hissable as the tycoon trying to land Brefni O'Rorke's stately pile at a knockdown price.
