Fort Algiers

Fort Algiers

Our Score
A Foreign Legion adventure showcasing exotic Yvonne De Carlo (born Peggy Middleton in Vancouver) and dashing Argentinian Carlos Thompson. The stars quickly became a couple in real life, but here they pale beside big Raymond Burr, swarthy Anthony Caruso and angst-ridden Leif Erickson as the heavies. Of course, the Arabs are bad, the French are dashing, and Yvonne's a secret agent posing as a cabaret singer - get the picture? Time-wasting nonsense, though De Carlo's now-forgotten song I'll Follow You is nice.

A spy in the employ of the French foreign legion is sent on an undercover mission disguised as an Algerian nightclub singer. Her goal is to expose an Arab leader's plot to seize control of oil-rich lands, but when her cover is blown, it falls to her soldier lover to save her. Spy adventure, starring Yvonne De Carlo and Carlos Thompson.
