Review

Our Score
The "yellow" in the mountain is gold, of course, and it leads to some pretty unremarkable sparring between former Tarzan Lex Barker and former radio actor Howard Duff in a very average Universal western. The leading lady is Mala Powers, still active in Hollywood as a lecturer and teacher of the Michael Chekhov acting technique, but best known to western fans as the Rose of Cimarron herself. Produced by Ross Hunter before he got into his stride as the purveyor of gloss 'n' froth, invariably starring Doris Day or Lana Turner.

Summary

Two gold prospectors stumble across a rich vein in a neighbour's disused mine, but the prospect of untold riches leads to tension and a violent conflict with a deadly rival. Western, starring Howard Duff, Lex Barker, Mala Powers, William Demarest and John McIntire.
