The spirit of Police Academy lives on in this ridiculously titled comedy. It's based on an American TV series that spoofs reality show Cops, and follows the (highly fictionalised) adventures of the Reno sheriff's department in mock-documentary style. Here, in the tradition of spin-off features, the officers are uprooted from their home town and unleashed on Miami, where a bio-attack has left the city's police force quarantined. A rude, but rarely funny, string of skits ensues as the hapless law enforcers struggle to keep a lid on Miami's crime figures - dealing with beached whales, alligators in pools and noise disturbances at rap record label boss Suge Knight's house. Aside from some pointlessly brief celebrity cameos (The Rock, Danny DeVito) this aims its sights low, with leering nudity, drug references and some borderline homophobic jokes about sexual orientation.
Plot Summary
Spin-off from an American comedy series that spoofs cop shows. The officers from a smalltown sheriff's department head to Miami for a police convention but disaster strikes and the ramshackle crew are called upon to save the day.
