Review

Our Score
Oddly old-fashioned, romantic fluff, with Jacqueline Bisset as a photographer on the Greek island of Rhodes. Clare Peploe's film chronicles her encounters with all manner of people who need shooting - though not necessarily with a camera - including obnoxious tourists, spies and an egocentric ex-hubby. The main interest lies in the picture-postcard views of both the island and Miss Bisset, and in a classy supporting cast which includes James Fox, Robert Stephens and Kenneth Branagh.

Summary

The beautiful scenery makes up for the lacklustre storyline in this satirical drama set on the Greek island of Rhodes. Jacqueline Bisset stars as a photographer who is unexpectedly reunited with her sculptor ex-husband and an old friend with an important message, digging up unresolved issues from the past. Meanwhile, an English couple arrive on the island for a holiday, but find themselves tempted by romance with other people. Also starring James Fox, Kenneth Branagh and Irene Papas.
