In this fifth outing for "Dirty" Harry Callahan, the San Francisco detective looks decidedly rough around the edges. Clint Eastwood goes through his iconic paces and directs the film in all but name; the actual credit, however, goes to Buddy Van Horn, Clint's stuntman. It's a flaccid, silly and extremely sadistic thriller in which minor celebrities are being very nastily murdered. A pre-Schindler's List Liam Neeson co-stars as a British horror film director who may be involved in the killings, though Harry, who has become a target, thinks something else is going on. The result is a B-thriller with little style and even less substance.
Plot Summary
