Festive traditions are challenged after two families become one in this mediocre drama. Julie Warner and Steven Eckholdt play the newlyweds whose planned first Christmas together is jeopardised when their children from previous marriages refuse to embrace new seasonal rituals. Cue an emotional tug of war, predictably followed by a blizzard of life lessons, as shrewd grandpa John Ratzenberger helps manipulate the situation to show everyone the error of their actions. It's all overly neat to the point of blandness, consequently never really touching the heart in the way the storyline intends. Even the feel-good finale is surprisingly underwhelming, despite piling on the sentiment to the max.
