Our Score
Pop video meets shampoo ad in director Sanjay Gadhvi's energetic and ultra-glossy sequel to his 2004 Bollywood action thriller, Dhoom. A vacuous but entertaining genre-hopper, it sees Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprise their roles as the chalk-and-cheese Mumbai cops - this time, they are on the trail of a master-of-disguise thief (Hrithik Roshan), whose hi-tech heists provide the stunt-packed centre pieces for an otherwise rambling picture. Hunky Roshan and his wannabe accomplice (played by Aishwarya Rai) sizzle, and help to hide the many plot holes with their strong chemistry and model looks. Elaborate musical sequences and a pumping soundtrack add to the overall breathless vibrancy, though Chopra's misfiring comic interludes are a pace-slowing annoyance.

Summary

Two mismatched cops are assigned to catch a notorious thief who plans to steal a valuable artefact from Mumbai airport. However, the villain manages to slip through their fingers, forcing the detectives to pursue him to Rio. Meanwhile, the crook has acquired a new partner in crime, but fails to realise she is not who she appears to be. Thriller sequel, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.
