This brisk, good-looking western from director Harold Schuster benefits greatly from CinemaScope and the camerawork of William Clothier, who also shot The Alamo and Cheyenne Autumn. The plot involving two prisoners being transported to trial through hostile Apache territory is fairly routine, but Barry Sullivan and High Noon's Katy Jurado make the most of their roles (he's a killer, she's a hooker). Dennis O'Keefe and Mona Freeman, both well past their prime, are less interesting.
Plot Summary
Western starring Barry Sullivan and Dennis O'Keefe. Determined to recover a cache of valuable repeating rifles, a tribe of Apaches stalks a small band of travellers as they cross the Arizona desert.
