Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

In this pedestrian TV movie, Chicago forensics officer Laura Vandervoort (Smallville's Supergirl) chases her dreams of becoming a real police detective by helping her boss nail a dirty cop. But while her incredibly stupid character initially hasn't a clue which of the stereotypes around her is betraying their badge, viewers are shown the culprit's identity way too quickly. With the "whodunnit" aspect gone, it's hard to stay interested in the predictable and tedious plotting, as Vandervoort succumbs to her corrupt colleague's charms and takes until the fag end of the film to see through the manipulation. At this point, events get really far-fetched - though regrettably no more exciting - leading to a smack-down finale that's beyond ridiculous.
