This urban spin on the likes of Deliverance and Southern Comfort went straight to video here, but there are certainly far worse productions that get the big screen treatment. Stephen Hopkins, who started out on the sequel game - he directed A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 and Predator 2 - has fashioned a sleek action thriller that is thoroughly implausible, but an exciting ride all the same. Emilio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Jr, Jeremy Piven and Stephen Dorff are the pampered suburbanites lost in the ghetto, who find themselves on the run from a ruthless gang when they witness a murder. Denis Leary is marvellously over the top as the psychopathic gang leader and the rest of the cast acquit themselves fairly well.

Plot Summary

Thriller starring Emilio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Jr and Denis Leary. Four suburbanites hire a van and drive downtown to watch a boxing match. But they take a wrong turn and end up in an urban nightmare when they witness a gang killing. The leader of the gang is determined to silence the four men, and a life and death race ensues.
