Our Score
Careless atomic testing spawns a giant octopus in this classic monster flick, which includes stop-motion special effects from the great Ray Harryhausen. But radiation wasn't the cause of the suction-cup horror having a shortage of titanic tentacles - the ridiculously low budget saw to that! As the "killer creature" rampages through San Francisco to destroy the Golden Gate Bridge, B-movie star Kenneth Tobey still finds time to battle biologist Donald Curtis for vampy Faith Domergue's charms. Predictable tosh, but good 1950s fun.
