Director Guillem Morales's suspense-filled thriller finds a woman with a degenerative eye disease (Belén Rueda) fearing for her life after her twin sister, who suffered from the same illness, is found hanged in her basement. Convinced it was murder rather than suicide, she strives to uncover the truth before she loses her own sight, but her investigations are hampered by more unexplained deaths and disappearances. Morales delivers a series of scares and shocks that owe more than a small debt to classic Hitchcock, and cleverly places the camera in the centre of the action so that we too experience the limitations and uncertainties of the woman's world. However, although the plot is littered with intriguing red herrings, far too many clues are given away before the explosive, nerve-jangling finale.

Plot Summary
