This romantic comedy starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher is a bit like a night in Vegas: loud, flashy and difficult to recall the next day. Slacker and party animal Jack (Kutcher) is out to let off steam in "Sin City" when he meets Joy (Diaz), a control freak trying hard to let her hair down after being dumped. A few drinks later and they're saying "I do". But things get really complicated when he hits the jackpot on the casino floor - using her coin. A game of one-upmanship quickly grows tiresome as each party seeks to claim the cash, and the most ridiculous in a series of contrived twists sees a judge sentence the couple to "six months hard marriage". The two leads have good chemistry and at least Kutcher keeps the mugging to a minimum, but that doesn't make up for an empty hand in the wit and ingenuity stakes.
Plot Summary
Romantic comedy starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher as a mismatched pair who wake up in Las Vegas and discover they have married each other following a drunken night on the town. An immediate divorce seems the obvious solution, but a three million dollar win on a slot machine rather complicates matters.
