Review

Our Score
Histrionics badly hamper the plot of this highly charged drama set in a small American town. Cybill Shepherd, never the most subtle of actresses, brings more than enough anguish to her role as a widow who learns her daughter has been molested, but the audience never properly connects with her distress. However, this low-budget effort does have the right insular feel and realistically brings the Midwest to life. If only the issues it raises could have been dealt with in a more sensitive way.

Summary

A widow is initially delighted by an old family friend's interest in her eight-year-old daughter, but soon starts to suspect the child is being abused. Drama, starring Cybill Shepherd, Tim Matheson, Karis Bryant and Dion Anderson.
