In this psychological western, taciturn Gregory Peck tracks down the four outlaws that he believes raped and murdered his wife. This is evidently a parable about revenge and redemption, but what could have been a good story isn't imbued with the emotional conviction it needs from either Peck or the usually capable director Henry King (The Gunfighter). Joan Collins co-stars as Peck's love interest in an underwritten role, and future spaghetti western star Lee Van Cleef is among the gang that Peck is pursuing.
Plot Summary
Western starring Gregory Peck. Jim Douglas is a man with a mission - to avenge the death of his wife. It takes him on an eventful trail following the men he believes are responsible - four dangerous outlaws on the run after a jail break-out.
