This is not up to the standard of the previous two Sinbad adventures - it's too long and Patrick Wayne is a distinctly charisma-free hero. But there's still plenty of pleasure to be had from the special effects of Ray Harryhausen, who enhances this romantic exotica with his distinctive brand of visual thrills. Highlights include a chess-playing baboon, three axe-wielding ghouls, a sabre-toothed tiger and a one-horned troglodyte. These all help to pass the time agreeably between the frothy Arabian Nights nonsense standing in for the plot.

Plot Summary

Fantasy adventure starring Patrick Wayne and Taryn Power. Sinbad courts a beautiful princess whose brother is under a spell which has turned him into an ape. Sinbad and his crew set out on a voyage to break the spell, and encounter many adventures.
