About this programme

2/8. Londoner Chris Ostwald decides to build a New England-style water mill in the Chilterns, on a hill and nowhere near any water, after being inspired by an illustration on a yoghurt pot. He bought the plot 20 years previously and it has always been his dream to build a retreat for himself and his family. Everything seems to be going smoothly, until a neighbour complains the house is breaking its planning consent. Kevin McCloud presents.
