Coronation Street

Episode 8145

Radio Times

It seems that soap operas are keeping the pharmaceuticals industry in profit: first there was EastEnders’ Sharon scrabbling on the floor for painkillers, then Rhona raided stocks of valium at the vets’ in Emmerdale, now Corrie’s Eileen is taking sleeping tablets to cope
with anxiety. Where will all this pill-popping end? With Norris taking methamphetamine to cope with those early starts at the Kabin? The mind boggles.

In non-drugs-news, Tina vows to keep baby Jake/Joe (delete where applicable), while Killer Karl frets as Detective Dev’s arson theories gather pace. Forget The Fall — the best cat-and-mouse crime drama is down Weatherfield way.

About this programme

Paul saves a child's life at work, but lies about his heroics for Eileen's sake, only to discover she is taking sleeping pills to deal with her fears. Karl urges Dev to give up his fight to prove Sunita's innocence as people are already questioning his mental health, while Marcus and Maria have a heart-to-heart about their relationship. Tracy sets out to prove herself to Carla and Peter as she starts her new job.
