About this programme
5/10. Ruth Watson visits a 33-bedroom Victorian hotel on the Eastbourne seafront that is suffering from an identity crisis. In the past, the hotel has catered mainly for pensioners and coach parties paying as little as £20 for a room, but the proprietors have splashed out in a bid to take it upmarket - all that is missing now is a matching clientele.
