Come on, Lightfields, after tonight there’s just one episode left in which you can give us some full-throttle Paranormal Activity-type scares, instead of tiptoeing around spending far too much time padding out characters. We know who all of these people are by now, so it’s time to let loose the demons and rattle the windows. We want to be TERRIFIED!
Again there are a few frissons as three generations of inhabitants of a haunted Suffolk farmhouse look angry, sad or wistful as they are tormented by a dopey girl in a pretty frock. She’s Lucy, killed in a barn fire in 1944 and who appears doomed for ever to wander the earth never saying what she means. It’s all very well leaving cryptic messages like “COMING READY OR NOT”, Lucy but a few hints about what your problem is wouldn’t come amiss. Look at what it’s doing to your poor dad...
About this programme
4/5. In 1944, Eve decides to leave the farm following Harry's discovery of the letter, but a plea from Pip persuades her to stay, and Albert makes a terrible confession. Vivien is becoming increasingly preoccupied with the unexplained goings-on at Lightfields in 1975 and fears Lucy is out to get her, while in 2012, the custody battle takes its toll on everyone in the house and Pip is forced to face his past.
