You may have noticed that young Liam Butcher has turned into
a bit of a handful recently. He’s been argumentative, playing truant and involved in some slightly dodgy dealings. There’s a reason and it’s linked to Comic Relief. The character’s antisocial behaviour is central to a hard-hitting storyline highlighting the growing problem of teen involvement in gangs, which will be spotlighted in a six-minute episode on Red Nose Day (Friday). First a gang beats up poor Tamwar and steals the rent money he’d just collected from the market stall-holders.
Later on there’s a knock at the door of number 31 — it’s the gang leader Kane and he has something for Liam.

Kat tells Alfie she wants them to keep their divorce as amicable as possible for Tommy's sake, and would prefer to do it without a solicitor. But after another run-in with Roxy, she soon changes her mind. Kirsty tells Max they are going to have to make some sacrifices so they can afford a place of their own - but her quickfire way of raising money annoys her husband. Tamwar is forced to toughen up or risk losing his job, while Ian and Denise plan a dinner date - but as usual, things don't quite go their way.
