Close to 40 years after she employed him to play in her legendary Hot Band, Emmylou Harris has teamed up again with guitarist and songwriter Rodney Crowell for an album of duets, Old Yellow Moon.

The pair join Bob in the studio to talk about the reunion and play songs from the album which, as well as new Crowell compositions, includes songs by Roger Miller and Hank Devito. A sneak preview suggest this is going to be a stripped-back pure country sound; two friends getting together to jam, which is essentially what it is.

And not an Auto-Tune in sight. As Crowell said recently, “it’s definitely us singing on this record”.
