Two short-lived characters are mourned tonight: Eric Babbage (a man very big in vinyl flooring) and Flash the tortoise, whose demise leaves Mandy shellshocked.
Elsewhere, a fine Corrie tradition is continuing – yes, it’s the old standby of someone getting a job that just happens to be within a two-metre radius of their own front door. This time it’s Katy, who passes her interview with Dev and starts work at the den of iniquity that is the kebab shop. Randy Ryan is on hand to show her the ropes, a task that no doubt he’ll be taking very seriously.
About this programme
Eva struggles to decide whether to accept Eric's offer to travel the world with her. Kylie returns home from hospital, only to be tormented by Gail, while Katy finds solace with Ryan after admitting to an angry Chesney that she spent £50 on her night out. Faye is disappointed when Jason and Tim set off for Leeds on a week-long job, and Jenna warns Lloyd that Mandy is preparing to take her tortoise out of hibernation.
