Would-be Governor Peter Florrick, leaving an oil-slick of charm, is wooing voters at his straw poll. But the campaign that’s been running so smoothly could be derailed by adultery accusations that are about to explode into the blogosphere.

Peter and his lawyer wife Alicia claim that there’s no truth in the tawdry tale, but that’s not enough for his rich, feminist backer Maddie Hayward (Julianna Margulies’s ER pal Maura Tierney), who doesn’t want to be associated with a serial cheater. She still wants to be Alicia’s friend, though. Who wouldn’t? While the Good Wife is standing by her man she’s also standing by a Lockhart Gardner client, an affluent drug dealer who’s caught the attention of the tax authorities.
