Excitable West Country lads, baker and butcher Tom and Henry, leave their Gloucestershire home to travel that well-worn TV chefs’ route, where they hop into a quirky car – a Morris Minor van – to travel the country helping struggling businesses.

The boys arrive at the Mermaid Café in Blackpool, which is feeling the pinch. Owners Len and Babs think they need to offer something more than their gigantic breakfasts, but Babs isn’t keen on Tom and Henry’s poppy-seed breakfast baps: “The seeds are not a northern thing,” she sniffs.

About this programme

1/6. Return of the cookery show presented by butcher and chef Henry Herbert and his brother Tom, who runs a bakery next to his sibling's shop in Gloucestershire. This time around, the pair hit the road, heading first to Blackpool, where they help Len and Babs Curtis modernise the Mermaid Cafe. They also create a new item for the menu by putting three dishes to the public for a taste test.
