In this episode of what some refer to as “Murder Most Floral”, the gardening detectives visit a prep school with some strange traditions. Then again, if you believed everything you saw in series like this and Midsomer Murders you’d imagine English country-dwellers do little else but indulge in macabre rituals that offer posh types cover for killing each other. Our heroines are hired to find why the school’s newly-planted roses are dying, and their visit coincides with the Night of the Stag, an annual event where a member of staff dresses as a stag... And soon a geography teacher is dead with a harpoon through his chest.
