Kurt rocks up at Vogue in New York touting a hippo brooch and an iPad portfolio of his unique fashion sense, hoping to score an internship. He hasn’t got much hope until he meets the vogue.com editor, a feared tastemaker whose edge is going blunt: an almost too-perfect piece of casting sees Sarah Jessica Parker play a woman who used to be the queen of Manhattan.
When Kurt and his new boss hook up with Rachel, who’s starting to blossom at theatre school, it’s like a fabulous movie mash-up of Fame, The Devil Wears Prada and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. SJP’s chemistry with Chris Colfer and Lea Michele is fizzy.
About this programme
3/22. Kurt's ambitions take an unexpected direction when he lands an internship at vogue.com, impressing the boss (guest star Sarah Jessica Parker) with his unique style and bonding with her over their similar small-town Ohio origins. His new position comes in handy when Rachel is picked on by her classmates for her lack of fashion sense, so he whisks his friend off to Vogue HQ for a midnight makeover. Back in Lima, Mr Shue is worried he is losing enthusiasm for the glee club, while Blaine and Brittany compete in the race for class president.
