Prince Harry has surely got to feature in this retrospective list at least once, having inadvertently made us titter with his naked Las Vegas antics and then (with his clothes on this time) sneakily beating Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt in a 100m race during his royal visit to Jamaica.

The Olympics Opening Ceremony is bound to get a look in, too, with the Queen and 007’s parachute jump as well as Rowan Atkinson’s sublime musical sketch. Then of course there was the never-to-be-forgotten sight of David Cameron and Boris Johnson dad-dancing to the Spice Girls during the Closing Ceremony. A gaggle of celebrities look back over the year at its funniest.

About this programme

A star-studded countdown of the daftest, most outrageous and quite simply inappropriate events peppered throughout the past 12 months, from Boris Johnson dangling from a zip wire to the phenomenon of South Korean singer Psy's global chart hit Gangnam Style. Celebrities popping up as talking heads to recall their favourite moments include Stacey Solomon, Russell Kane, Rob Beckett and Katherine Ryan.
