...Sings Disney Songs!

Whatever can be said about Walt Disney, one thing’s for sure, he knew a decent tune when he heard it. This enjoyable trawl of the archive unearths the many and varied interpretations of songs in Disney films, from the sublime to the ridiculous. Louis Armstrong singing The Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book is the former; the Scats Cat Band skipping around the Blue Peter studio playing The Aristocats to the bemusement of presenters and animals alike is the latter.

Fans of the peerless songwriting Sherman brothers are well served, though they may want to skip Disney’s later schmaltzy ballads and the odd sight of the Play School toys interrupting a rendition of Feed the Birds.
